EAST COAST EASTER CAMP FAQ

We’re so excited for camp! Below is some helpful information for parents and caregivers.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
This is a full camping experience, so campers will need to bring their own tent.
Campers are welcome to share a tent with a friend (or friends), as long as they are the same sex. There will be clearly marked and separated boys’ and girls’ zones.
We will have 24-hour security and supervision throughout the camp. Respecting boundaries is extremely important. Failure to follow these expectations may result in removal from camp.
What will I need to bring?

When will I know my tribal colours?
A week before camp, we will send out a final email with everything you need to know, including tribal colours and any last-minute updates.
What’s provided?
All main meals and teas are included:

Friday: Lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner

Saturday: Breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner

Sunday: Breakfast, morning tea, and lunch
What if I'm gluten free or have dietary requirements?
Please include all dietary requirements on the registration form.
If you/your child has a strict or medically monitored dietary need, we encourage you to call us directly so we can make a plan together and ensure everyone is well catered for.
What about medications?
A responsible, first aid-trained leader will be available to monitor medications if required. Please clearly note any medications on the registration form and ensure they are clearly named.
What ages is camp for?
Camp is designed for high school-aged students.

Are there alternative accommodation options?

What are the workshops and who is running them?
Campers will participate in activation workshops designed to equip and strengthen their faith. They will choose different workshops across Saturday.

What will camp look like?
Here’s a rough and simplified overview of the weekend:
We will open the gates at 9:30am on Friday and have time and space for campers to arrive, register, and set up their campsite until around 12pm. At 12pm we’ll have a safety briefing followed by lunch before launching into a mini “Tribal Wars” style challenge tournament.
Free time and dinner will follow before we head into our first night session with Lesley Lee.
Saturday morning will begin with breakfast, followed by a morning session with Matt Lansdowne. After that, campers will move into activation workshops, choosing one of two options in the morning. Following lunch, they’ll get to choose from the other two workshop options.
After free time/games time and dinner, we’ll gather for our Saturday night session with Ps Kristen Williams.
Sunday will kick off with breakfast, followed by our Sunday session, baptisms, and lunch. After lunch, we’ll pack down campsites and begin heading home.
It’s going to be a full, fun, faith-filled, Holy Spirit weekend designed to help young people grow in their relationship with God, get activated, build friendships, and create lasting memories.
