In our eleventh episode of Acts 29, Kent keeps the series rolling and sets us on the course of considering future generations in one's spiritual journey, emphasising the relationship between the Lord and the church. He shares that one cannot exist without the other and shares a personal anecdote to illustrate his commitment to being in the Lord's presence.
Kent introduces his message titled "Built for the Future," encouraging us to believe we are constructed for tomorrow and the importance of our presence in the church. He reminisces about his own experience of being welcomed into the church, highlighting the role of the church family in building a future for newcomers. This leads him to a broader reflection on the responsibility of current generations to build a future for those who come after them.
He later shifts to discussing character as a fundamental building block for the future, linking it to the story of Joseph from Genesis. He highlights how Joseph's character was built through trials and tribulations and how he was able to overcome hurt and betrayal because of his strong character.
Kent calls for active participation, encouraging us to take notes and engage with Joseph's story. He ends with a focus on the importance of character in building for the future, using the story of Joseph as an inspiring example of resilience and integrity. Throughout, Kent engages us to reflect on our own spiritual journey and their role in building a future for the next generation.
